First Aid is the immediate skill assistance given to a casualty(an injured person) before the arrival of medical Aids or before being taken to the nearest hospital.

Road accident is common here in Nigeria, so the Nigerian Red Cross Society take it as a priority to engage in Ambulance patrol and also train volunteers on manual handling(how to lift casaulties and how to load the ambulance).

This training is for the Federal Road safety Commission, FRSC(a governmental organization that deals with the rules and regulations of roads). We engage in this kind training for support in the aspect of road safety whenever there is danger. The Nigerian Red Cross Society might not be readily available at the scene of accident, the federal road safety commission must be able to handle the situation and render first aid services with care.
This is not the first set of people to be trained in the organization but as part of the mission of the Nigerian Red Cross Society is to make first aid services available for whoever that is in need of it.
