The Church is Under Re-Construction

Today, we need spirit filled laborers to reap souls for the kingdom of God. The problem is there are green laborers; meaning lacking experience, training, knowledge, or leadership on how to reap a ripe harvest?

Let’s begin with the seven things the church is not: #1. The church is not a religious club. If we reduced the message of the Bible into a religion, then we have to consider and accommodate memberships. The Kingdom (heavenly government) of God is a country and it has citizens. We can’t join a country as a member. People get excited, when they’re in the church as a member and it’s not a club. #2. The church is not a burial society. Most join a church, so they can get a good burial. Jesus never intended the church to concentrate on death. #3. The church is not a welfare agency. Jesus told His disciple that His body is more important than the welfare money. They wanted to take the money and buy food for the poor. Like the alabaster perfume, the woman poured it on Jesus’ head and feet. (Matthew 26:7-8, Luke 7:37-38) The church is a place for us to have a vision, so we can make our own living. Not to live off them. Like John, when He was doubting Jesus, He wanted John to know He was the Christ and He said, tell John this is how you know I’m the Christ, the poor are having the gospel of the kingdom preach to them, not the poor is getting food. Or, when Jesus reads a chapter of Isaiah, He did not say, “the Spirit of the Lord is upon me and I’m anointed to open a soup kitchen.” No! Please don’t get me wrong, we are to act on good deeds and it has its place, but we are discussing the topic of the assignment of the church (us) is to save souls, not feed their flesh. Jesus said, “He was anointed to proclaim the good news to the poor.” Kingdom Living gives people the opportunity to create their own job. In the process, there are pantries in the warehouse, or counselors assist us, but it will not be there for five plus years. In fact, by that time, we should be donating to the warehouse. This church is not for social services. People get delivered in the church. We are to help, and set their mind free, so they know who they are in Christ, pick themselves up, and make something out of their lives.

#4. The church is not a political porn. The church has been used and abused by the political arena. In every country. When an election comes around, they use the church for votes. They use the very thing (church) that Jesus paid for by His blood for their personal political gain. All of sudden all politicians are religious. This is the epitome of corruption. The scary thing, some of the leaders in the church have bought into it. It’s the other way around, we should be in the political arena, like in the Senate, in the Congress or in the Parliaments. #5. The church is not a social society. Like Fraternity club or Rotary club. The church was not designed to associate with one another, to gain social progress, but to save souls. He said, go! Go out there! They used the church for career advancement by association. Sometimes, God will bring us to the body of Christ, to change us, not us trying to change the church or the body.

#6. The church is not a ministry of the government. The government doesn’t own the church, it’s Jesus church or the called out ones. We are to create and to be an agency of kingdom government, not the other way around. When a church is small, the government uses the church to change their country for the government’s benefit, not for the church. If they legalized marijuana, then the church doesn’t benefit from that. God forbid! We are supposed to be the agent of change in our community, state or around the world. The church is the most powerful force built by Jesus blood on the earth. And #7. The church is not for personal career and profit. Like, they want to be a pastor as a career move, and they have no heart for Jesus’ sheep. Not called by Jesus. These people don’t realize the church will burden them. They tell you, what you want to hear because that’s performance. They don’t care or love us for our welfare. They only want to get paid. They are hirelings. No relationship with God. No wonder the church is busy, but not effective. Some people think is good business as a pastor, and their mindset says, “they will never lose their job.” This is where the church has come to. It’s really sad. We have to submit to the delicate respect for people and only true leaders understand this. It’s about integrity. Managers who don’t care about people, only see money. With true leaders, it’s not about money, but they see responsibility. The church is not in the business market of Charlatans (fakers, phony or frauds) and ungodly entrepreneurs. The church is to help develop and improve people to be a better person. However, we have all kinds of undermining things going on in the church. We must change this saints! We pray and ask the Lord (owner) of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field. Amen!
