How to Develop Your Resolution to Succeed

Do you have a resolution to succeed? Have you ever been successful in the past and are now determined to succeed? Do you put your resolutions into action every day? Have you found a way to be successful in your business? What steps do you take to make your resolution a reality?

One important part of creating your resolution is to write it down. Put it in a place where it will be easily accessible but also somewhere that you can remember it. If you find difficulty in remembering your resolution, take a photo of a spot where you once dreamed about being a writer, a movie director, a sales person, etc. and place that photo in your office or on your refrigerator.

Your resolution to succeed will not be as strong if you do not have a specific goal for your future. If you want to work in an advertising agency, one of your goals might be to become the head account manager. But unless you write that goal down, chances are it will fade into oblivion. Writing your goal down and reading it several times a day is the first step toward having your goal to turn into reality.

Some people get so excited about creating their resolution to succeed that they spend countless hours in their work on it. You may want to spend one evening a week doing research for your goal. If you cannot sit down and devote at least 15 minutes to this effort, perhaps you should consider investing in a computer software program that does all of the work for you. Researching and compiling this information will allow you to keep yourself on target as you strive toward your goal.

When you have written your resolution to success, you must commit to it. No matter how much you want it, chances are that you will not make it into a reality by today's standards. It takes time and effort. But when you start taking action toward your goal, you will see positive results very quickly! So don't stop with a written resolution.

The next step is to develop your resolve. There are many ways to do this, but one very effective way is to make sure that you create a list of all of your goals, and then write a summary of what you would like to accomplish for each one. For example, if you have a resolution to be thin, write down the steps you would like to take in order to accomplish this. This does not mean you will lose anything by using this resolution to focus on your goals. A good rule of thumb is to consider your summary a mini-resolution. As you complete the tasks that are listed in your resolution to succeed, mark them off in order to keep yourself on track.

After you have developed your resolution to succeed, it is important that you maintain your focus and be fully committed to your new resolution. Too often, people get wrapped up in the idea of making progress toward their goals, and they lose sight of the end result. You must resist the temptation to stop working toward your resolutions because this can have a negative impact! In general, it is much easier to lose your focus once you begin to work towards something, so do not let this happen to you!

It may be that you need to make some changes to how you think, feel, or behave in order to achieve your goals. For instance, if you feel that you are not giving your best at work, a new resolution to become a better employee may be the right one for you.
