Mis días inician de una dulce manera, con mis niños fundiéndome en abrazos y besos en mi cama. Eran las 7:15 AM, mi esposo acababa de irse a su rutina diaria. Hoy estaba pendiente de que venía a casa el técnico de la lavadora, así que le dije a mis niños: vamos a desayunar y me respondieron: un momento más mami.

My days begin in a sweet way, with my children melting into hugs and kisses in my bed. It was 7:15 AM, my husband had just left for his daily routine. Today, I was waiting for the washing machine technician to come home, so I told my children: let's go and have breakfast and they said: one more moment mommy.

Como de costumbre, mi esposo nos había dejado listo el desayuno, arepa, queso, plátanos, huevos, mortadela para mí y café. Mis hijos en la oración de la comida, piden especialmente porque se erradique el coronavirus del mundo.

As usual, my husband had left us breakfast ready, arepa, cheese, bananas, eggs, bologna for me and coffee. My children in the food prayer, ask especially that the coronavirus be eradicated from the world.

Luego agradecemos a Dios todo lo que nos provee. Poder compartir estos momentos con mis hijos siempre ha sido algo mágico para mí.

Then we thank God for everything he provides. Being able to share these moments with my children has always been something magical for me.

Cerca de las 8 empezaron unos trabajos frente a nuestro town house, están reparando parte de la carretera. Luego llegó el técnico que esperaba. A pesar de la cuarentena, hay personas que tienen que salir a trabajar. Por fortuna, en la ciudad en la que vivo, aún no se registra ningún caso del temible virus, gracias a Dios.

Around 8 o'clock they started some work in front of our town house, they are repairing part of the road. Then the technician who was waiting arrived. Despite the quarantine, there are people who have to go out to work. Fortunately, in the town where I live, there is still no case of the dreaded virus, thank God.

En seguida me activé en modo limpieza. Primero barrí el patio, luego limpié la cocina y lavé el piso, para después preparar el almuerzo y esperar a que llegara mi esposo. En la siguiente imagen mis hijos sólo barrieron para la foto, jajaja. Lo importante es que siempre están cerquita de mi.

I immediately activated in cleaning mode. First I swept the yard, then I cleaned the kitchen and washed the floor, and then I prepared lunch and waited for my husband to arrive. In the following picture my children just swept for the picture, hahaha. The important thing is that they are always close to me.

Luego comenzaron con sus deberes, las tareas que sus maestras le asignaron vía WhatsApp. Mi hermosa hija orientaba a su hermano, como siempre con mucho amor. Debo confesar que esta vez sólo le apoyé en dudas puntuales, estuve muy ocupada con la limpieza y pendiente del técnico.

Then they started with their homework, the tasks that their teachers assigned them via WhatsApp. My beautiful daughter guided his brother, as always with much love. I must confess that this time I only supported them in specific doubts, I was very busy with the cleaning and the technician's attention.

Le agradecí a mi hija el gran apoyo que me dió con su hermano.

I thanked my daughter for the great support she gave me with her brother.

En la tarde, descansé un rato, mis hijos seguían con sus asignaciones escolares. Al terminar, jugaron un rato, mientras yo preparaba masa y carne molida, para hacer unos pastelitos para la cena. Mi esposo es quien los arma, y yo los frío. Esta cena les encanta a mis niños.

In the afternoon, I rested for a while, my children continued with their school assignments. When they finished, they played for a while, while I prepared dough and ground meat, to make some cakes for dinner. My husband is the one who makes them, and I fry them. My children love this dinner.

Después de cenar, vi en las noticias que no se habían detectado casos nuevos de coronavirus en las últimas 24 horas, eso me alegró muchísimo. Evidentemente el cerco está funcionando, los venezolanos hemos sido conscientes acatando las medidas de higiene y la cuarentena social, que atinadamemte decretó el gobierno nacional. Sé que para muchos es algo difícil, pero mejor en casa sanos, que en la calle enfermos y/o muertos. La alegría me dió el impulso necesario para escribir estas líneas, que estoy terminando, pasadas las 12 AM. Otra vez se me hizo algo tarde, jajaja.

After dinner, I saw on the news that no new cases of coronavirus had been detected in the last 24 hours, which made me very happy. Evidently the siege is working, we Venezuelans have been aware of it by complying with the hygiene measures and the social quarantine, which was rightly decreed by the national government. I know that for many it is difficult, but it is better to be healthy at home than to be sick and/or dead in the streets. The joy gave me the necessary impulse to write these lines, which I am finishing, after 12 AM. Once again I was a little late, hahaha.
