England bowled out for a mere 85.

England were bowled out for just 85 runs as Tim Murtagh and Mark Adair ripped through their top order. England won the toss and decided to bat first. Jason Roy was making his test debut and he was the first man to go, courtesy of some great bowling by Murtagh. He kept bowling tight line on and around off stump and was rewarded. He also found the edge of the bat of Rory Burns but you have to say that both Roy and Burns played loose shots and they could have avoided those dismissals.

Mark Adair wasn't to be left behind as he trapped both Joe Denly and Joe Root lbw and both of them were found dead in front of the wickets. Joe Denly was looking good and played a few good shots as well but he only managed a score of 23 on his debut.
It was Murtagh again with the magic as he took 3 more wickets in a space of just five deliveries to break through English lower middle order. Baistow played a loose shot and was cleaned up, Woakes was trapped lbw and Moeen Ali edged one behind. With Moeen Ali's wicket, Murtagh took his first fifer and that too in the home of cricket. He therefore, made it to the Lord's honours board.
Debutant, Olly Stone and Sam Curran showed some resistance and took the score over 80's before Rankin and Adair cleaned them up. Only three English batsmen were able to reach double figures.
At the time of writing this, Ireland are 100/2 and Paul Stirling is looking in good touch. The two wickets that fell were both taken by Sam Curran.
Ireland have a great chance to make history by winning this match at the home of cricket. They are playing very well right now and if they manage to stretch the lead past 200, they are definitely in with a great chance.
