Some improvements to Private browser.

Components

Private browser is an open source application that aids users in browsing through the. Private Browser is a free web browser designed to be small, light, fast, and simple.

Proposal

All the features of private browser are very simple and useful for surfing internet but still there are a few features lacking on this browser. These are :

• Download list option
• Add to home screen option
  The download option in a browser is used to keep track of downloaded files. Users can restart downloads, resume, stop and pause downloads with an in-app download folder.

Homescreen option is used to put your most visited websites to your homescreen in order to get an easy access to them.
These features are missing in the app and these are some features which I'm suggesting.

Mockups / Examples

In the image below I've presented an example for both the download option as well as the add to homescreen option.

Here you can easily access the downloads and also add some sites to homescreen.

Benefits

The benefits of these features are:

• With the in-app downloads feature, users will have easy access to their downloaded files. They can take control of their downloads at will. Users can restart, pause, resume and stop downloads if they have this feature in the browser. You can know where they downloaded a certain file from, with in-app download option, details of the downloaded files can be known.
• Add to home screen option keeps us from opening the browser and we can directly open the link as soon as we click on the icon at homescreen and if we want to access it frequently this is a very good option to have. We can also make as many shortcuts as we want.

I would like to see these features implemented in the browser.
