Do I Have To Watch Moana AGAIN?!
I love a good kids’ movie, especially one that adds subtle jokes that only adults can get. I enjoy them up until the 4th, or 5th time I am forced to watch them. Never mind the 50th time. Yes, I am not joking when I say I have watched Moana with my toddler for what feels like (and could possibly be) the FIFTIETH time! This is followed by the Lion King and Cars as a close second and third.

What is it about kids that they want to watch the same thing over and over (and over) again? My son has a bit of a speech delay, but do you know what word he does know? MOANA. Oh, and "tea", I must make him tea so that he can watch his show while drinking his hot beverage, quite the Mr he is!
I have to admit though, that out of all the shows we watch dutifully more than 50 times over, this has to be one of my favourite. Mostly because it simply isn’t “just another love story”. Have you noticed that even in kid’s movies, there always seems to be a love theme, either as a main theme or somewhere hidden in the background. I appreciate the fact that in this movie, two people from different genders and age groups, can be heroes together, without there being any love interests along the way!
Don’t get me wrong, I love love, I want my son to learn how to love, but I don’t want it shoved down his throat. I want him to be taught that there is more out there, different relationships to be formed and more to be explored.
So yes, while I go crazy watching a crab sing, I can also appreciate the message behind the movie. I say this while I currently have the show tunes stuck in my head…sigh!
Rant over.
funny post, i was resteem your post.
Its really good animation movies
Yup :)
Thankfully it’s a good movie that he wants to watch on a loop and not one that you don’t like aka Barney... it cold be a lot worse lol
Oh gosh yes, we don't say the B word in our home!
I know the feeling well, I also have a 6 year old daughter, she has watched moana over and over again, and the brave toaster 50 times, I had to tell her brave toaster had gone on holiday for a year to avoid watching it again, I feel your pain, trust me.
Oh my, the brave toaster? I have to check that one out, might be a good distraction! Good excuse ;) he he!
There are 3 brave toaster films to watch, just watch out for strange behaviour after though, my daughter started talking to lamps/kettles and other inanimate objects after, hence saying it went on holiday lol.
Thank you for sharing us about content this animation movie. I think very much lesson we can learn from this film.
I love Moana and it’s a good thing I do as my son Master 5 is obsessed with Hey Hey! That’s right, the chicken!! He loses his mind when it comes on.
Nice posting @sweetpea
This movie is very cute and has a lot to learn, is a girl fighter, and is right, the age difference exists and worked together for a goal.
very nice movie
