Chickens Are So Much Fun!

So many people started to have chickens in their backyard again because they want to know where there food comes from.

Yes, chickens do provide eggs and meat, feathers for crafting or pillows (or your compost pile), and feet and bones for bone broth.

They also are great solid builders, pest control agents, compost makers, and leftover eaters.

But the real reason to have chicken in your backyard is their entertainment value!

They are so much fun to watch!

The ladies have a great chorus going after one lays an egg. The roosters sing their joy to the world - sometimes a bit too early in the morning. But hey, getting up with the sun gives you a long day to get a lot of work done. So I have heard lol.

Watching and listening to a juvenile rooster while he discovers his voice is so funny. Netflicks can’t compete!

Their bathing is another fun activity to watch. Dirt flying everywhere and you can almost see a satisfied grin in their faces. That is hard to pull off if all you have to work with is a beak.

I highly recommend to have a chair in your chicken area and just sit there ever so often and take in the scene. Or rent it out to one of your stressed out friends. They will thank you for it!
