My third steemit poem: 'CLOSE TO THE SEA'
Dedicated to all the Ocean lovers, beachers, swimmers, surfers and seamen out there.
Close to the Sea
What morning could that be
close to the Sea
my mate
while you await
another awesome day
arriving at the bay.
Open your eyes
by the sunrise.
That first ray
of the day
would embrace
you on its knees
by a salty breeze
in your face.
Would you have drawn
that break of dawn?
Would you have made
that light to fade?
Whose mind
claims pure life to the core
will find
the answer at the shore.
The beach,
what magic moon of sand -
hard to reach
and tough to land.
No other place on Earth at all
would make you fall
in love so fast
but ever last.
There´s no place
where I would rather be
than near the Sea
to chase
just for a while
your salty smile.
Actually there is no place on Earth where I do spend more time than close to the Sea. The Ocean lovers, beachers, swimmers, surfers and seamen of you will agree :-)
"Sea" you - at my blog: @surfermarly.
Cheers & live your dream,
Marly

Hey, @surfermarly,
I just discovered your blog today, and I love this poem of yours about the sea. Thanks! ;) How could I not follow someone with such a common interest?
I hope you'll take a few minutes to visit my blog and read some of my surf stories. Here's a handy index for you... Who knows? Perhaps you'll consider following me for more surf stories to come? ;)
Oh thanks for your lovely comment ;-) Of course I´ll check out your blog as well! Thanks for sharing the links. Cheers Marly
Great poem! Thanks for sharing @surfermarly😊
Thank you @annesaya, much appreciated!! There will be more to come soon :-)
I'm not usually a fan of rhyming poetry, but this I love! It's so smooth to read, the sounds just roll off the tongue in a delicious breath. So nice. And I too am a lover of the ocean
Thank you so much for your sweet comment, @woman-onthe-wing. To be honest: neither do I :-) But I always try to give them a modern rhythm, in the way they don´t actually sound like a poem. I am very happy you appreciated that. Sunny regards
beautiful poem my friend @surfermarly congratulations
Thank you so much, @jlufer! I am pleased you liked it :-)
Looks like we have to change your name to @suferpoetmarley -- or just @shakespeare... Good job -- your love of the sea shines through... Cheers and "sea ya" :))
Thank you very much, @macksby! Reading these words from steemit´s poetry star makes me really proud. Let´s keep doing some cool poetry - "sea ya" :-)
