The unknown mysteries of space
Hello my steemian friends,
This is my participation in the contest”Art and Writing Contest #124 by @solperez in Venezolanos Steem
It is said that great people get the company of other great people according to their standards. Similarly, Joseph Wright, who was an English landscape and portrait painter, used to go to listen to the lectures of Scottish philosopher and scientist James Ferguson, he came into his company with the help of another friend of his.
In the year 1762, when no one would have imagined that the secrets of the world are hidden in the solar system and space, then in those days Scottish philosopher, scientist and lecturer James Ferguson did some research and invented some machines to investigate the mysteries of time. In these inventions, he was helped by one of his friends, who was trying to invent a clock to control and calculate time.
362 years ago, when electricity was not properly managed, the scientists of that time did research and contemplation on such serious topics. To understand the mysteries of space. His friend Joseph Wright, a famous painter in the group who was in the company of these scientists, decided to use his instant intelligence to bring Ferguson's imagination to life by painting his inventions and research on canvas.
The resulting artwork was named "A Philosopher Gives a Lecture on the Tabletop Orrery". Looking at this painting, it is clear that in a model placed on a table, he has depicted the planets of the Earth's solar system revolving in space and children, old and young are looking at this model made by him with great curiosity and enthusiasm.
But I think that whatever imagination James Ferguson had put into this work, the painter Joseph Wright has brought even more imagination and the work of realizing his imagination to the people through this rare artwork of his.
Because no ordinary artist could have imagined such a thing by listening to a lecture of a scientist or by looking at the model made by him.
I think this is the rarest painting among his paintings.
I also want to invite here @josepha @haidee @paholags and @rosselena.
Thanks for reading my post, I pray to God for the progress and happy future of all Steemians.
