Landscape Photography Tips
Here are some tips on how to take better landscape photos to help people who wish to enter this weeks #stphotochallenge.
Create Depth
When taking landscape photos, try creating a sense by keeping all of the different elements in focus. To do this you need to use a small aperture as this keeps objects close and far away sharp. Use a tripod to reduce camera shake when using small aperture.
Use A Wide-Angle Lens
Wide-angle lenses are usually preferred when taking landscape photos as the can show a much broader view. These lenses also tend to give greater depth and allow you to use faster shutter speeds because they allow more light.
Capture Movement
If you are working with moving water you can create a stunning white water effect by choosing a long exposure. One way to do this is by using TV or S (Shutter-Priority) mode and choosing an exposure of 2 seconds or longer. You must always use a tripod for this kind of shot so everything else remains sharp.
