My Collection - The Patriarchs

This is my collection of Nintendo home -and handheld consoles.

The Super Nintendo Entertainment System, or SNES, was my first ever experience with gaming in general. At the age of 3 I watched as my Mom played the classic title "Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island".
I watched as she made her way through the game, and when she stopped playing, I'd start it up and repeat what I just saw. When I got further than I'd seen her get, I had to use what I had learned so far, evolve those skills and get better at the game.
I liked this feeling of accomplishment.

I am a firm believer that gaming is a powerful tool for developing the mind, as well as a fun hobby.
"The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" is where I learned most of my English as a child, and studies show that playing "Super Mario 64" can increase the parts of the brain responsible for "spatial navigation, strategic planning, working memory and motor performance."
And that's just one 3D platformer, discarded as a hobby, a waste of time, when in truth those who happened to play this game has a larger brain than those who didn't.

Cheers!
