Photography as a soul shelter!

Hello Steemers,

As human beings, we tend to define everything.
I do not claim to be a photographer, but those around me do say so. It has always put a smile on my face though. I like that definition.

Living in a city burried in concrete and pollution, makes it hard to find inspiration and sometimes I find myself digging down beneath!

During these last years I have created photographs of feelings. Some understood it and others did not.

But, to me it always gave a sense of freedom. That moment when you find yourself alone in a room, just you and your camera... and you start questioning youself: How can I grab this sorrow out of my soul and just spit it in a photograph, to capture it and to leave it there, out of me?

That moment is such an important turn in anyone's creative process. It means you do not care anymore of what others might think. You are totally free.

I started photographing in a very dark period of my life, using a Nikon Coolpix. I remember buying that camera was such an achievement. Actually it was the very first thing I owned!

And since then, my relationship with photography has had its ups and downs, but never was it interrupted forever.

I feel lucky to have a passion in life. A passion that helps you express yourself in those blue moments.

It truly makes you jump off the bed, eventhough you might be feeling as nothing makes sense.

You can photograph even the nonsense if you feel the blood running lively in your veins. At least, this is what I feel when I photograph!
