5 Minute Freewrite: Tuesday - Prompt: flashlight

Sorry I have missed the last few days of #freewrite. I have gotten myself back on track for the week! I even went and did the voting thing. See my last post.

5 minute free writing challenge. Ready, Set, GO

I literally just found out that I had a flashlight app on my Apple watch just today! This is funny that it is the prompt of the day! My wife got me a gen 3 apple watch early for my birthday which is on Nov 13!
I sometimes forget how old I am (is that weird?) I am only 36 but I feel much much older some days. I guess after 25 it all doesn’t matter anymore anyways.
Back to flashlights… I gave my daughter a rechargeable flashlight last month when we were building living room blanket forts on a rainy day. She was slightly upset that it went dead after 8 straight hours of burning. I plugged it into an usb charger and it was bright as ever after an hour. Matter of fact I still have it here on my desk.
I will post a few photos (if I still have them on my phone) of my #1 dad deed and built a spur of the moment living room fort. The flashlight was quite bright and she wanted to do a 24 hour challenge (like she sees the little girls do on YouTube). My wife was not for the idea very much but I was ok with it. The way I see it is if she wants to sleep on the floor instead of her comfy bed then it is fine with me. She is a good kid and I….

…don’t worry about her getting into too much over night. She chickened out at the last minute. It stayed there for over a week and I finally moved the furniture back to its original configuration. We will do it again one day soon as she had a blast playing in it and it gives me extra “Dad Points” to do something like this for her.
