The number one icon of Egypt: the Great Pyramid. If you have not been to the Pyramids, you have not seen Egypt. The Great Pyramid is in Giza, which is just outside Cairo. On a normal clear day, you can see the Pyramids with your naked eyes from Cairo. If you go out there, you need transport, it is a short trip to the edge of the desert.
