My Sketch: The Western Wall of Jerusalem.
This is also known as the Wailing Wall. For almost 2000 years, the Jews came here to wept for their lost country. Until after the Six Day War when the Jews captured the Old City, then the area came to rest in Jewish hands. Now they prefer to call it Western Wall, as it is the "west" retaining wall of the Temple Mount. The golden round structure on top of the Mount is the Dome of the Rock shrine, a Muslim shrine.
That is the complexity of the situation of Israel. Different faith all mingled up within a tiny area, no wonder there is so such tension there.
