HOW TO LEARN ENGLISH

Point number 1: STAND IN THE SHOWER
I love the metaphor of standing in the shower. If you are standing in the shower, what do you need to get wet? The correct answer is "nothing."

Just continue standing. Stay tuned. That's all you need to do. And now, the bad news. It takes about 10 to 15 years. I don't know. Maybe if you are talented, five will be enough.

It takes a lifetime.

I learned it by standing in the shower without leaving the place, just standing there without trying to get wet.
If you are standing in the shower and you try to get wet, it looks a little bit weird, a little bit strange, right?

There is so much to learn. You cannot learn it all. You have to take it easy and just stand in the shower.

Point number 2: TEACH ENGLISH TO OTHER PEOPLE
If you are learning for yourself, it is harder to motivate yourself.
Teach others what you have already learned. That's the best way to learn a language.
If you want to teach someone and you have a vision, you can do it, even if your knowledge is not perfect and you feel unconfident.

Confidence will come in the process. It's been so many times in my life that I've taught something that was wrong. Like I taught it and then I understood "Oh my God, that was wrong." I explained the word wrong or I pronounced the word wrong. It's happened so many times in my life. But you know how I react to this?
I do not react to this. It is just natural, it comes with the territory. It is a very good phrase- it comes with the territory. Problems come with the territory.

STUDENTS MAKE TEACHERS.
Students make me better. Some who asked me lots of questions made me better. I love such students, they make me better because I have to learn to explain things in a way that works for them. I have to be creative.

So some students just bring out the best in me with their attitudes and their desire to learn, and some just don't, because they just don't care. They are not active. They are not motivated and they don't challenge me in any way. And it is boring.
