Question for today #7
So today we had a walk in the park and when heading home we saw a duck on the road..we tried to catch it and we did after a few minutes, she was bleeding around her beak and breathing really heavy..we called RSPCA ( Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animal) which kept us on the phone for 15 minutes, asking us details , name, adress and finally giving us a number of the company we could call to give us the adress of nearest clinique where we could bring the duck, and finally we received it and went on road and after get to car...before arriving to car, the duck was barely holding on and i kept her in my arms for a while and when i felt that she passed away(my friends thought she was still living...) i put her beside my feet down..when we got there after 10 min she was already dead...obviously she died in my arms...and i had to go through this moment because of the UK law they have here which says this and you will notice hypocrisy in it..because it obviously makes the drivers kill the little animals they meet on the road and not stop to care for them or at least call the vet..
So my question for today is what human capacities do you have to have grown too little in order to be able to hit without mercy even a small breathing being?
Thank you!
(this is the river from which the duck came from..and got hit by a car before we found her)
So sad of what happened to the duck... some people out there just does not care. But you did and tried your best, no need to feel too bad but I know how it feels for an animal to lose their life and almost no one helps. Here in Puerto Rico, we see dead animals on the streets too often. :(
@denoxblogger that's awfull..there should be some laws..at least try as much to make difference between hunting and driving....not drive with intention to hunt..for some ducks are just meal but they.re breathing beings and deserve at least some humanity even if their purpose in their little life is to become meal for humans....humanity should exist more in the laws of each country otherwise we will start to even eat humans when we finish with the animals lol...:/ we gotta develope compasion more, that's what i tried with my post to do too..i wish you a great day!
Yeah I hope it never comes to the point that humans hunts down other humans to eat... Like the futures are predicting in the apocalypse. But yeah, this world just do not care for others like its supposed to. Btw feel free to talk to me on Discord too. you seem like a very inteligent person :)
Indeed, every living creature deserves to live comfortably, especially if it's as harmless as a duck. Thanks for sharing @sunnyali

The failure of our generation, is in regard with upholding the simplest of the creator's commandments, the majority of which all alude to one thing: KINDNESS.
In Matthew 25:40 New International Version (NIV). the bible says:-
I cannot agree anymore.
Thanks @sunnyali for the great act of kindess you showed that duck. That is something we can wish everybody could learn.
Thank you @mirrors , i don't expect in this world to exist only good energy and good people and good deeds but at least ensure that there is a goof balance between good and bad(evil)..we gotta raise more, humanity rather than just robotics. Thank you for your valuable comment!
I am so sorry about the duck. You did the best that you could do to save its life. I must say, I am one of those people that hit an animal but didn't stop to save it. I was driving on the highway and it was already midnight. It was my turn to drive, since my husband drove for 6 hours straight, so I offered to drive for a couple of hours. I hit a wild rabbit, and I felt really guilty for causing the rabbit to die. I stopped and asked my husband to drive again, as I could not in any way concentrate because of the thought that I killed an animal. It was my first time in driving history. My husband is a good driver and could dodge kangaroos (even though they say, they are a menace on the road), and I only drove for a couple of hours, and during that time, I hit a rabbit. It was an accident, though, but my heart sank knowing that I hurt an animal. But if it was daytime, I could've stopped to check if it was alive.
I hope that the person who hit the duck had felt remorse. I mean, I'm sure, there are signs that say "Ducks Crossing" because here in Australia, there are signs like that in the cities, and people do stop when there are ducks crossing.
There are no signs for ducks:(...your situation was during night and it would just be the rabbit's bad luck and you're a nice hearted person for feeling awfull for hitting it but you couldn't have stopped..and during night and being on road would have been risky to grab it and burry it...that's great there are signs in Australia..UK and other countries where little breating living animals exist, should follow your example..and stop the robotic kind of attitude because we're humans not machines..even though we live through tehnology at this point in time..some more, others less. I wish you a great day to you and your family!
Thank you for your kind words. Yes, we have signs for kangaroos to warn drivers and motorists of the presence of these animals on the road, especially certain time of the day, like dawn and dusk when they are most visible on the highway. And yes, they are a menace. Drivers don't stop when they hit kangaroos. We have signs for koalas and ducks, and I have seen cows and horses, too. I guess, in those farm areas, we have to watch out for them, too. I was amazed when I saw "Ducks crossing" sign on a city road, and I thought, this must be just a funny sign, but true indeed, there are ducks within that vicinity, because there is a pond nearby. I even saw ducks crossing, too, which I thought was really cute.
Good on you for try and make the last few moments of its life better. Our so called acts are bonkers hey! 💯🐒
