ARE YOU WAITING TO DIE?

Amo (not real name) was easily my most brilliant classmate in secondary school. Unlike the rest of us who accepted hook, line and sinker whatever the teacher taught, Amo, on the other hand, would sometimes disagree with the teacher and prove his point. So good was he that our Physics Teacher would sometimes delegate Amo to teach his topic. And we actually enjoyed Amo than the teacher.

Yesterday I ran into Amo and was shocked to find him laid back, fat and flabby, in thought as well as in body. During our brief catch up I learnt Amo had gone on to become a civil servant. It turns out Amos was simply going through the motions as he had no zest, no excitement, no push. He ended his story with how he had a secured, pensionable job which he'd do until retirement. It sounded very much like waiting to die...

Hey, have you lost the zeal to face challenges? Are you giving up on life? You've got to take back your life, my friend. Create a goal that excites and consumes you so much you cannot take your eyes off it.

You've got to re-energise your life, fill it with meaning, happiness, excitement, and anticipation. Repossess that childlike, powerful force to accomplish and experience life to the fullest possible.

My friend, it's a brand new day today - wake up, shake up, and pick yourself back up again. Stop waiting to die.
