Despite my initial inclination to keep our baby at home, her persistence won the day, redirecting our course to the CSD at Dhaka Cantonment. The super shop buzzed with activity as we navigated through the aisles, ticking off essentials from our list – fish, vegetables, and an array of groceries. Naturally, our petite companion, eager to contribute, insisted on selecting a few goodies to add to our cart.

Returning home as the clock struck noon, a quick shower rejuvenated us. While the men of the house embarked on their Friday prayers, my mother-in-law and I embarked on a culinary journey, crafting a special lunch featuring the flavorsome delights of beef teheri. The return of the men marked the commencement of a heartwarming family lunch, where not only the taste but also the warmth of togetherness left an indelible mark on our hearts.

Post-lunch, a brief respite in the form of a nap recharged our spirits. With the days growing shorter in this season, evening descended upon us with unexpected swiftness. After a soothing tea session, I took charge of the kitchen once more, conjuring a quick yet delectable noodle snack. Satisfied appetites paved the way for contemplation – the evening still young at 5:30 PM, beckoning us to venture outdoors.

Opting for an impromptu family outing, my husband led us to "The Garage Food Court." The allure of coconut lassi, sugarcane juice, and their signature motka tea proved irresistible. The ambiance, vibrant and alive, coupled with the gentle evening breeze, cast a magical spell. Our ever-ready baby added a layer of joy to the outing, making the experience all the more memorable. Sipping on refreshing beverages and immersing ourselves in the soothing ambiance, we reveled in the simplicity of these moments.

As the evening drew to a close, the true essence of our Friday activities emerged – a harmonious blend of familial warmth, culinary delights, and a spontaneous outing. In these seemingly ordinary moments, a canvas of contentment and joy was painted. Our weekend had unfolded with a symphony of simplicity and togetherness, laying the groundwork for the days that awaited us.
