I did not know what the Hsia calendar was, so I looked it up after I read your comment. That calendar seems a lot more in tune with the slight or less noticeable seasonal changes than the Gregorian calendar. Thanks for sharing - you taught me something new! :D

So people with the same birthday but differing years are born under different signs, somewhat similar to the western zodiac?
Yes, it base on the year but you fall into the year only if you are born on or after first day of spring. Otherwise, you fall into the previous year.
