Phuket is not only famous for its spectacular island life but what this town really offers also is a full experience from the art of living to cultural diversity.
Mixture Of The New Beginnings
When one mentions on most talked about topic on Phuket’s uniqueness , The Sino Portuguese Architectural influences should not be forgotten. I am here in Old Town where the history were marked upon the gem in the Mining Industry times. This attracted sailors to settle, mainly the Portuguese whom traded around the Malaga port. Soon to be locals, many hired local Chinese to build their houses. Soon the mixture between the art of the Sino-Portuguese was created.
The Old town is located in the middle of the island. Where shops and businesses are held mostly by locals and residences. It’s a good place to spend the day away from the touristy coast.
The Real Phuket Style
Thinking of dining around the Old Town ?, The most recommend one is Tu Kab Khao. Tasty local food right in the center of the Old Town with great services and delicious homemade Phuket style dishes.
It is well-known among the locals and some tourists to be the place to try when visited Phuket. So I decided to take my parents out for a lovely lunch.
We Ordered our favorite dishes and were not disappointed.
Pork Strew with Herb
Crab's Spawn Chili Sauce
Liang Vegetable Fried Eggs
Deep Fries Sea Bass With Mango Sauce

Around this place: The Day can be spent mostly by visiting Chinese temples, local art galleries, second hand book stores, massage spas and other out-doorzy explorings.
If you ever you a chance to visit, don’t be hesitant to see this part of the town because it might not be covered in sand and stands coconut trees but the charm along with the coziness of this area makes it essential to wander through, so when you depart you know you didn’t just had a glimpse of this city but you have been to and seen The real Phuket.

Cool pictures! I had a chance to be there as well, although I couldn't really stay for long unfortunately. Amazing location, the one that I will definitely have to get back soon :) I actually find whole Portugal very beautiful and I hope to have some time to check it out in a whole :)
