Definition:

Happiness is that state of emotions that feel you Cheerfulness, Joyousness etc. Which means a life full of pleasure and positive emotions, but free of negative emotions like- sadness, anxiety, anger etc.

Understanding HAPPINESS:

When I searched the answer of my question regarding happiness, all people answer a different type of answer, such as some said for happiness you should be rich, some said you should do meditation, some said you should have all luxurious life, some said you should have love of a girl etc. But I am not satisfied with this all answer.

So, for that purpose of finding the happiness, I went on a journey to find out the real meaning of Happiness. So 1st I visited a city about 500km from my hometown. So, I decided I will go there in a local train because to find the answer I have to interact with as many people as I can. After boarding in the trains, I observe all people sitting on the train, and I have noticed for the 1st time that every person on the train is living their own life with joy and sorrow. Some have sadness and some have cheerfulness in their face, some get tired with their daily routine, some travel with their happy family. After seeing all this I think that for happiness you should have a good family.

But suddenly an incident has occurred that again make me inconvincible that to have a happy family is makes you always happy. A family sitting next to me has a total of three-person including a cute child. Everything was going fine till the incident. I don’t know what happened between them but suddenly the parent of the child fighting with each other, and the mother take his child and moved to the next coach of the train. I was shocked that the family which has full of happiness, get separated suddenly within a fraction of time.

Then I was uncomfortable sitting there, that’s why I leave my sit and standing at the gate looking outside the train. I see many skyscrapers building that feels that they are touching the sky. I also see many slums on the way to the city. I was thinking that who among them really happy with their livelihood, the one who lives in the hi-tech building with everything available at their doorstep or the one who lives in slum area struggling every second of their life.

Between these all consequences, the train has reached the destination station. I get down from the train and heading towards the exit of the platform. After the exit gate, I saw that around 500-800 people sleeping on the platform floor. It was shown as they are in a refugee camp. I am excited to know who are these people and why they are lying on the floor like this. To find out the reason I am finding a place and standing there for some time observing them. Some of them waiting for there train, some of them come for any work and does afford the cost of hotel and feels safe to sleeping at the platform, some of them staying at the city but does not have a shelter to stay. I feel very bad for them, but what can I do. Then I take a room near the railway's station.

Next day morning 1st I go to the high-class people colony and stay there for 3-4 hour. I see there all the people are moving like robots. All the family member of the colony gets separated from each other at morning and again come together at night. They are happy but not that much because they don’t satisfy what they have. They need more to be happy. There is no interaction between the neighbourhood, each family compete against each other.

After that, I visited a slum area next to the colony. They don’t have any facility that the high-class people have, they don’t even have the sufficient water supply, which is a necessary element of living beings. I was amazed to see their cheerfulness, the happiness they have I can’t see anywhere, because they know their situation and they accept it.
I was staying there for a moment and see an old rickshaw Wala pulling his rickshaw. After his last trip, he comes to the rickshaw stand and counting his income for that day. After complete his calculation a smile appears on his face and he orders a tea at the tea stall. After drinking the tea, he takes some bread with him and takes his rickshaw. My curiosity at that moment is very high, so I followed him, and I have found that he feed these bread to 3 dogs at the square near the slum area. It looks like the dogs are waiting for him. After this, he went to his home, and I returned to my hotel room.

CONLCUSION:

Next day I came to my home and thinking about all incident I have experience in the journey. I was thinking that the family that get separated in train will they again came together. will the rickshaw puller again feed the dogs from his income? At last, I understand that without sadness we can’t feel happy. Without struggling we can’t know the joyfulness. Happiness depends on what we think, not what we have. we feel happy when our surrounding people are happy, so make your surrounding full smile faces. I have traveled many times before but this journey give me 1st ever happiness.
So, keep smiling, help other to regain there smiling. Keep your surrounding neat and clean. Live every second of life with joy.
