Quick Post - Still At Bat - [life] [curveballs]
Keep Your Eye on the Ball
Hello all my fellow Steemians, just wanted to post a quick update on my whereabouts since I haven't posted here in more than a few days.
I went on a family road trip recently for a High School graduation, so that took many hours of driving both going and coming back home. Since I did most of the driving that consumed much of time, then resting and prepping for the returns.
A few days before leaving out of town I was busy dealing with permits/violations from the city for two properties and that too has consumed much of my time.
Then upon returning back home, I had to go to work, so that too has taken some of my time, while also spending some time trying to figure out this thing called EOS. Any heard of it?
OMG, I consider myself technically savy, but EOS has taken quite a bit of effort to get somewhat "acclimated" to their Blockchain and wallets. It can be quite daunting and confusing at first, but after many many hours of frustration, I am starting to figure it out. Anyone struggling with this madness, feel free to ask any questions.
Finally, my laptop battery took a major dump, so now that too has to be addressed. I initially noticed battery life diminishing until one day it did give an error but then went away. I then started to suspect the battery might be going out, and after a few months of this it finally did. At first, I thought it was just a dead battery, plugged in the charger and turned on the laptop. I proceeded to use it normally and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary until I went to click on the built in trackpad. It didn't work and notice it had "popped" out slightly out of the laptop.
Further research told me the battery inside had gone bad and was bloated. The battery cells had expanded internally, causing the battery to swell, and push up against the trackpad. So I have now ordered a new laptop battery and await its arrival.
In the meantime, back to regular work, then deal with building and safety issues on two properties, then we'll see what other curveballs life can throw at me.
I am ready, bring it on, I'm going to knock it out of the ball park!!
Take care everyone, and I see Steem making small price moves up, especially against Bitcoin!!

Thank you for the words of support @chaira
I hope you get things going with some of the issues you are tackling there. I am worried that my Laptop's battery would die soon because it might explode. Sir @streetstyle
Who graduated if I may ask :P?
I ordered a battery for my laptop, so I will replace it soon. As for the graduation, my niece graduated from highschool and will now be attending college. Kids, they grow up so fast!!
Enjoy the day with dear ones that's the most important thing :D
WOw that is a lot going on, I haven't looked into EOS yet and if its daunting for you I know I will struggle LOL
Hello @tattoodjay Yeah, I got a lot of things on my plate, and they just keep piling on. Some of these problems, or rather challenges are slowly getting resolved, but boy they are taking long and costing some chips.
As for EOS, there is a learning curve, and it gets easier as you go. At first there are a few things to learn about wallets. So far I like the Scatter wallet.
Anyhow, security and being sure you are at the right website is very important, so once you got that down, you should be ok.
I hope things settle down for you soon and as for EOS I will just stick with Steem and Steemit for now I think
EOS is like Ethereum, but faster. I haven't tried their social media app and don't think I will. EOS seems to be creating its own ecosystem much like that of ERC20 tokens and STEEM with all its dAPPs.
Nice tech but nothing revolutionary that I see as of yet. And yes, for social media, there is nothing like the STEEM blockchain and the STEEM community, so STEEM is the place to be when it comes to crypto and social media.
I may take a look at there Social media when it comes out of curiosity but Steemit will be my Social place as long as it lasts and I feel it isnt going anywhere,, I think the EOS announcement was a lot of Hype and very little substance, to be honest
Hey @streetstyle! Sorry I did not contact you earlier. I was very busy, went to the city twice this week and had a big event that kept us very busy. I think I will be able to translate the post that you asked me the other day. Where can I contact you directly? Do you use Discord or Telegram, maybe we can share contacts through an encrypted message or something. My Discord is eddiespino#1698 and my Telegram username is just eddiespino, not sure if you also need the phone number to contact me.
I have also been learning about EOS and in many ways it's very similar to STEEM. I was also lucky enough to be part of the coinbase videos and I won 10 bucks worth of EOS. Hope you are great and keep being awesome!
Hello @eddiespino Thank you for your help, and no worries, I too recently have gotten really busy.
My goal is to help create free Steem accounts for those users who really want one, especially in Latin American countries and of course even more so for those in Venezuela.
The process is confusing to say the least, so by helping with the translation and explaining the process, hopefully it will help.
Eddie, I will am on discord as krypt0 klown, although no always on, but I will see your message. Again, thank you for helping and supporting.
Welcome back......tell us little more about EOS. Thanks

Hello @jerge I am still learning about it, how it works and how to use it. I am not at that impressed to be honest, but maybe I just need more time.
Yeah, EOS takes a bit of wrangling creating accounts and such. Are you staking some on REX?
Hello @joshman Yes, a little, and a few in some others too.... took a minute to figure it all out but think I am starting to get the hang of it.
