Contest Important Update
It has been brought to my attention by @isteemithard that my contests break Steem Guidelines, I was unaware of that fact and can only apologise. Therefore the following changes will be made going forward.
It will now be optional to vote to enter any of my contests, instead there will be a 4 digit code that can be entered as a comment which will then gain you entry to a share of the payouts as well.
I use automated scripts to process payouts so if you enter through the comment route please follow the instructions carefully as payouts will not be processed manually, an incorrect or invalid entry will be ignored.
Since there will now be two ways to enter the contest the following rules will be removed/amended
50% reward pool (top 50% vote reward shares)
50% reward pool (everyone) adjusted by weight
0.01 Steem minimum payout, Steem not paid goes to bonus
Bonus payout to any eligible voter selected at random
This will be replaced by
Every entry will get an equal payout
0.01 Steem minimum payout, Steem not paid goes to bonus
Bonus payout to any valid entry selected at random

Just posted the first one today, should be clear in the instructions. But to answer your question if you up vote you are in but you have the option to save your voting power if required and enter by using the code provided.
Maybe you can set it to be optional (comment or upvote) not exclusive for comments.
You have quite a lot followers on steemauto who can't be always online to comment your posts...

Yes that is the intention it will be optional, so if you are on Steemauto or other voting tool you will be entered, it is now just optional so you can save voting power.

I've struggled with my voting power being depleted most of the time, so I've just watched as your posts were appearing in my feed. Now I can upvote one contest of yours, and use the code for the rest of it.
I'd upvote them all, but that would kill my VP :-)

No problem, yes I had a wry smile when I saw that voting bots are considered abuse in the Guidelines.
