I asked about this the other day too. The answer though was that they used to give interest but no longer do. Apparently we still see that verbiage in our wallets, but it is left over from the old days.
From what I've been told, no we do not. We do gain more SP by having SP though apparently. The account amount will slowly go up even if we have no activity supposedly. /boggle There doesn't seem to be a straight answer on it.
I like having some of my investment money in SP anyway though. It is a pretty safe place to have crypto, and I'm confident it will be worth way more in the future too!
Yeah, I agree with you. Huh, I'm gonna have to look into this a bit more. I'm glad to hear we get SP though instead of nothing at all. I've been wondering about it for some time as I've never seen any gains anywhere. I suppose I missed the memo. I wonder how long ago this took place? Anyway, thanks for getting back to me.

Hey finnian I just found your reply. Sorry brother. So you're saying that when we invest in steem power we no longer get the 10% a year gains?
