The Noodle of the North
Khao Soi is Nothern Thailand's curry-like noodle dish that's legendary among the tourists. It has a unique taste much like massaman curry with a heavy coconut cream aroma in the soup. It comes with an assortment of fresh vegetables you manually add in such as red onions, dilled Chinese cabbage and a half of lime. This awesome lunch was in Chiang Mai, Thailand at the restaurant Khao Soi Samer Jai.
After adding the vegetables and other spices, you mix and enjoy. I personally let the fried ramen noodles soften in the curry like soup before eating them.
We also ordered the tomato chili dip called "Nam Prik Ong" that you eat with vegetables and pork rinds.
No classic Northern Thai lunch is complete without the Northern Thai herbal sausage and I loved every bite. Yummy!
