Formula One has another disaster in the pits.
Formula One seem to be getting major problems with tyre changes this season, even though the season has only had two races.
The first race of the season in Australia saw the Hass team retire their two cars after releasing them from the pits without correctly securing one wheel. The team was fined a total of $10.000 for the two unsafe pit stops.
Today in Bahrain Kimi Raikkonen was given the all clear to leave the pits whilst one of his wheels was still being worked on this ended with one of the mechanics getting his leg broken after Kimi launched his powerful formula one car into the poor mechanics leg.
Kimi was ordered to stop his Ferrari racing car in the pits and retire from the race, whilst the mechanic was rushed to hospital.
Neither Kimi or the mechanic were at fault.
