Why We Do the Things We Do
We are controlled by things larger than us. Any idea is fed by many, causing it to be larger than the individuals who follow the ideology.
For example, if we are devoted to our country as the most important aspect of life, we commit ourselves to serving the goals that further produce growth in that realm. Quickly we find ourselves no longer serving our best interests but rather doing whatever is necessary to produce growth of the idea we serve.
From this mechanism, a government's ability to impose its ideology onto the masses grows. Without the individuals feeding energy into the concepts focused upon, these ideas cannot be amplified in their influence on the world. This growth makes it like the biggest bully on the playground, able to impose its will on all the other children with ease.
This goes for every basis upon which we make our decisions. Our belief systems control our decisions. If we follow a certain religion, then we feed energy into that shared perspective of reality. This produces circumstances where there are those within the system who support it and those outside of the system who are either indifferent or opposed to it.
Duality is the result of limited perspectives. All is One and One is All. If this is not recognized, then we choose various parts of All that we serve. They then grow, like a mass in the universe, and become highly influential on their surroundings.
We cannot be born in a country without, to a degree, becoming part of the system. As our physical proximity is close and we are regularly exposed to the ideologies that control the general masses, we are indoctrinated from infancy into accepting something as necessary. Notably, we are not given an option on whether or not we want to be part of the systems around us. Freedom, from a foundational level, therefore does not exist in these systems supposedly designed to promote freedom.
We can then, for various reasons, choose to not only accept a given system but to actively support it by being part of it. If we join the military to defend our country, we are choosing to allow the weight of the system around us to control us. If we feed money into the coffers of a religion, we give means to promote ideologies forcefully if so chosen. We may even support the ideology so much that we see this as doing our duty.
However, with every action that serves only part, we create division. Division leads to tension which leads to more symptoms to be addressed. Just like in the medical field, we do not attempt to address the root cause of these symptoms but rather will simply try to address the symptoms directly.
Due to a lack of consideration of cause-and-effect, we do not consider the root causes of our problems. As a result, we make the symptoms even more dramatic. One symptom is addressed and another arises, like a side-effect of a drug. This brings the ground to be shaky, and we can lose our balance. With enough energy fed into the root issues, the ground can even become alike to a liquid. Then, we find ourselves swimming; struggling to keep afloat in a sea that moves us around with ease. If the problems keep growing, then it becomes like a gas and suddenly we are falling.
Knowledge of God is the answer. The root of the problems we face stem from a fundamental lack of awareness that God is Everything. When we begin to see God is Everything, as a society, then we take flight. Even in the shaky environment, we are able to rise above it and no longer be stuck in its gravitational pull. From above, like a hawk, we can look down on the vast landscape and see from horizon to horizon. The picture, of which we were stuck in but a small pixel of, comes into view as we are able to see all its parts and understand it more clearly.
If our ideology is that God is Everything, then we no longer serve only part. Our goal becomes to serve All. This comes through actions that are with all in mind. In this way, we address the root cause and allow the symptoms to subside as society is actively grown into a healthy organism once more. A healthy society does not have "medical problems", in need of addressing, it functions like a healthy person. When we only aim to address the symptoms, we simply create more disease. When we aim to address the root of the problem, we transform this world. This is and has been the goal all along, but due to limited perspectives that control the way things are, we drive our societal organism to have more problematic symptoms until, just like any living creature facing very adverse medical issues, society is faced with extinction because the root problems were never addressed.
