The Bible Does Not Come With an Instruction Manual
It is very important to understand that when we read the Bible, it does not come with an instruction manual. It just exists in all of its forms. People, then, attempt to interpret what it means and that becomes a religion. This angle of interpretation, then, can become so widely known that those who follow it accept it as truth. But that does not make it so.
A religion based on the Bible is ultimately an attempt to present an instruction manual on how to interpret the Bible. However, there is a critical mistake that is made in starting with the Bible to interpret it: there is no hinge to reality when we use the book itself to determine what the book means. In other words, how can we accurately interpret something if we do not first understand the reality of which it is part?
We cannot.
A house cannot stand if it is not built from the ground up. Trying to interpret the Bible without a scientific approach is all but impossible, as it is a top-down approach that starts with saying what God is to then build foundational perceptions of reality. These are not accurate perceptions because they are not hinged in the world around us.
The reason for this is because the universe is scientifically reducible to the results of gravity and gravity alone. This means that from One, All that is arises. If we ask the question, then, what does that mean about God? then we must conclude that there is nothing but God because there is nothing but gravity. All is One and One is All.
The fundamental lack of awareness of this truth of reality in various translations of the Bible is extremely obvious when they are considered together. Some translations--even if they are unaware that there is nothing but God, they are more neutral in their interpretations, unknowingly presenting wording that is much more accurate to this reality because they do not try to insert their own take on it and only try to verbatim translate the text.
Others actively make a point to redirect the reader more and more towards specific interpretations that those doing the translations have. In the greatest extreme, some versions of the Bible are designed with the belief that God is limited to Jesus and it is imprinted on every page. This is perceivable only when the reader takes the time to compare various versions without bias. It is clear that, for example, the King James Version regularly and relentlessly inserts capital letters where other versions do not and rephrases verses in a way that is intended to indicate why Jesus is God. This is the most extreme warping of the translations visible, one that has played a substantial role in shaping how many perceive reality.
The problem is God is Everything.
While the statement that "Jesus is God" is true, it is what is left unsaid that is false. Specifically, another way of saying this is to say Everything else is not God. Herein lies the biggest flaw of reading scripture without first understanding reality. There is nothing but God. The perspective that Jesus and only Jesus is God is literally the most limited perspective on the Unlimited God possible. It is the epitome of idolatry and its most quintessential example. The focus is no longer on God--All--but is on Jesus--one.
The Bible is a work of art. Contained within it are countless layers of truths that are only observable from reading it as well as from comparing it to additional sources. When we limit what is important to only a small portion of reality, then we are simply unaware of the connections and subtle nuances that are present throughout the text. Even something unspoken is just as powerful as words.
One such thing that is unspoken is that Jesus knows not only that he is God, but he knows God is Everything. He speaks in parables and ways that allow the reader to conclude that he is God, never outright lying, but all the while giving people every chance to make the free-will decision to interpret that he, and only he, is God. The truths he speaks can be easily applied to a viewpoint that God is Everything, which demonstrates that he knows it, while they are distinctly spoken in a way that allows the reader to also conclude that he and only he is God.
World events move forward with such fervor because we are driven by our beliefs and when we believe that we know something we become extremely committed to that idea. This is critical to understanding why things are happening as they are. Nothing is a coincidence. If Jesus is not here, then it is easy for an interpretation that Jesus is God to then say that God is not here. World events are closely tied to this perspective, imprinted across all of history. When we are finally able to look back on it all, we will see how idolatry in all its forms was the root cause of all problems society faced.
