BTC: Too much too soon

As exciting as it might seem to see some upward energy back in the crypto market - with the recent meteoric rise of Bitcoin - I don't think that this is good news over the short to medium term.

Put simply, there doesn't seem to be any significant reason for the size of this uptick. This is resulting in a state of FOMO already. People are starting to come out of the woodwork, talking up the virtues of crypto (many of those folk who have been absent for the past year or so during the bear market...).

This will likely lead to many punters piling in at these new levels before there is a smack-down. And crypto once again gets a "bad name" for being too volatile and immature. And in need of regulation, ugh!

I would much prefer to see a slow and steady rise over the next 6-12 months, giving the market time to breathe at each stage of growth. Building solid foundations along the way. Right now, we're returning to the choppy up and down waters of before. The market needs more time to mature.

Anyway, no-one knows how this will pan out. I just hope it fizzles out sooner rather than later and this way crypto can continue to move through its "growth pains" well under the radar of CNN and every other mainstream media outlet.
