Ripple price went down from 0.000242 BTC to 0.0000455 BTC in 4 months
Ripple was one of the most promising cryptocurrencies on the market. It related with banking system and looks very seriously. It takes no. 3 at the moment by capitalization, but since May 2017 the price and believers of Ripple are going down.
Now we see just promising headlines, but still we don't see the real product as it was promised. Just take a look at the price, it's going down dramatically since May:

Any alt coin is going to fall further than BTC. When doing a comparison, look at it versus the USD. While down, it isnt as drastic as compared to BTC.
BTC is holding strong. Hence why you see such a difference. Few coins are outrunning that one especially when the "bad" news in the crypto world.
$0.39 to $0.20 :) looks still bad. If you buy with BTC you should compare BTC.
