Love me hopelessly : Set up
The nurse stuck the last bandage on Kelvins head
“In a few days, your head will be as good as new” The doctor said hoping it would soothe Kelvin who had been fuming through out the wound treating process.
“Will my hair grow back to the high length it was before in a few days??” Kelvin asked infuriating
“Why no. The wound will close up” The doctor replied.
“Then my head is not going to be as good as new” Kelvin replied and took his bloodied shirt off the chair. “Thank you for repairing what someone I should be suing did” Kelvin said and walked outside.
He was greeted immediately with Tolia who had been outside the office since. Kelvin frowned on seeing her then turned back into the office and shut the door.
“Nurse, please can you tell that lady to get at least a kilometre far away from me. I do not suppose she can throw anything at me again from a kilometre” Kelvin said taking his seat on the doctors chair. The doctor looked at him aghast. He was seating on his office chair and Kelvin didn’t seem to care.
The nurse smiled and went out to converse with Tolia then came back inside a few minutes later to tell Kelvin Tolia had left. Kelvin promptly thanked the doctor and the nurse and walked out of the office into the hospital hallway.
He hated the smell of Hospitals. The smell of izall irked him to the marrow and he couldn’t wait till he was out of the building. He negotiated a bend and collided into a slim lady. Both stumbled aside as Kelvin hit his hurt wound on the wall. He let out a stifled groan.
“You know, for a slim lady, you are very heavy.” He joked then took a look at the face of the lady and noticed she had been crying “I’m so sorry, my joke was very inappropriate” He said as he picked his phone from the floor.
“I’m sorry I bumped into you” The lady said and made to walk away when Kelvin pulled her back gently.
“Have we met5 before?” He asked staring deep into her eyes. He had seen her before and could bet his life on it.
“No. But that pick up line is old” She replied and made to walk away again. He pulled her back.
“I’m for real here, I’ve seen your face before, I can’t just pin it to a location or event” Kelvin said again.
“I’m sorry, can you just let me go?” The lady said.
“Can I walk you top where you wanna go to?” Kelvin asked wondering if she would be able to see with the pool of tears locked at the entrance of her eyes.
“No please. I’ll be fine”
“I insist” Henry said and walked alongside her without waiting for her to say a thing to him. “I’m Kelvin…. you are?” He asked.
She sniffed a bit as a tear broke loose from her eyes “Janet….Janet is my name” She replied.
