Facts about life you should just accept.

I'm just 18 and will be nineteen this december. I'm young but i believe 18years is enough time to realize some facts about life most of which I've experienced first hand.

Generally, I love life, everyone should but sometimes life throws you not just lemons but huge rocks and stones and all you haveto do is accept it and get over it. You can't fight some situations in life so you need to just live by it and move on.

Some things in life will always be, even Jesus faced it no matter how obvious he was the son of God. So, from my experiences so far, here's my top 5 sure facts about life everyone must accept.

  1. Not everyone will like you.

Funny though, people just hate or despise you without even getting to know you.
I've had classmates tell me to my face how much they dislike me despite the fact that I was the cheerful on in class. There's no fighting it. You have to accept it.

They don't like you, it doesn't decrease you one bit. It's not like we get a dollar per every like we get. In that case though, I'd worry if anyone dislikes me. I need that extra dollar.

Even, if everyone liked you, you'd die of attention. Even the best people in our world today have haters and haters can keep hating for all we care.

  1. Fake friends are everywhere.

Our generation now has very few trustable people. I trust only three friends in life, two are on this platforms. Why? They've proved times without numbers they wouldn't run a knife through my back at the slightest chance. image

Yet, I've had friends try to steal my girlfriends,my positions and all. Surely, everyone has been betrayed by a lot of people even family.

Fake friends are a part of life, never expect everyone to be true to you. Trust is earned, and it's expensive.

  1. Life is not a Jolly Go Ride.

It will not be all bright colours and red roses. Not everyday will end with smiles and not every morning will come with bright skies.

Life is like a roller-coaster, it has it's up and downs, you'll throw up, get thrilled, get scared again, on and on.
The thing is, life wont be all about pleasures. You'll have to do a lot of boring shiis, deal with challenges and herculean tasks and they'll sap you of your energy.

But, you have to get up from the floor, mount that bike again and ride harder.

  1. Disappointments are inevitable.

You'll try to dodge some. While you might succeed in doing so, some will surely hit you. Not everything will go the way you want it to go. Not everyone will keep their promises. Not every job interview will land an appointment letter.

Disappointments are even one of our first experiences in life. It's no use complaining, you can only work towards reducing disappointments but get ready to accept a disappointment in good faith once it comes. image

  1. You won't be spoon fed all your life.

If you're still dependent, it's best to keep this at the back, front and centre of your mind. One day, you'll be on your own. Left alone to cater and provide for your own needs. image

Big reason why I love my father. He taught me this lesson as a kid. I can go months now without asking a naira from him and I'm patiently waiting for when I'll be totally on my own. It won't be easy setting up my life but i've been working towards independence since I was 14.

I hope yo enjoyed reading this piece. More juicy posts coming your way this week.

Thank you, keep steeming and have a great day
