RE: It gives me absolute great pleasure to share with you a Project that I have been working on for the past few months. Let me introduce you to steemhobbit and ebayhobbit on Ebay and Twitter. "Buy on Ebay. Pay in Steem".!!
At the moment, if people want to pay in #Steem there will have to be an element of trust.
If they wish to pay in #Steem they simply commit to buy and deposit the #Steem to my SteemitWallet.
On receipt of the #Steem I can complete the purchase and mark it as Paid.
This will then raise the Order on eBay and then it's simply a case of dispatching.
I will be offering discounts on the asking prices if people pay in #Steem as a small gesture.
Payments will be recorded on the #Steem Blockchain as proof of deposit / receipt.

There are probably quite a few eBay sellers on Steem.
Do you think we could broaden this into a general eBay/Steem seller project or campaign?
If so maybe you could produce a more in depth post with instructions for buyers and sellers with screenshots of payment options etc.
Probably some good Twitter mileage in this as well?
Thank you
The Steemit Team
Absolutely.
This is exactly what I was hoping to do.
The idea was to use ebayhobbit on Twitter to promote those on Steem that are selling stuff on Ebay.
I wanted to kick things off with the steemhobbit account and then encourage more to join in.
Any help or support you could give would be simply awesome.
Stephen
That is great.
If you are able to produce a more detailed post to encourage / 'recruit' eBay sellers already on Steem that would be a good starting point.
Then going on to the more detailed instructions.
Maybe there is even scope for a directory of Steem eBay sellers? - where they are and what they sell.
Happy to support that.
Thank you

Absolutely.
No problem at all.
I will do this tomorrow morning.
Now you are talking.
I love this idea.
With the right support, this Steem / Ebay / Twitter Project has huge potential to stitch together these three popular platforms.
It also gives people a chance of spending small amounts of Steem that they would have likely left without spending due to the hazzle of exchanging small amounts.
Stephen
Excellent, thank you
