The Day We Watched A Cattle Decapitation

It was just another ordinary day. The sky was kinda grey because it had rained the night before. I woke up early. Not because I wanted to, but because Louis came to visit. And Louis wakes up early. And Louis doesn't know about personal space. And Louis wakes people up!

He wanted to watch the rugby. I do not like rugby. But I humored him. He only visits once a year, after all. And besides, rugby means breakfast. And I was kinda hungry.

We made our way to DROS. Because that's the closest place I know that serves breakfast and has a TV. I ordered two coffees, which happened to come with 2 eggs, bacon, and toast.

I didn't pay much attention to the rugby, but apparently the team I was routing for, lost. Oh Well...

After the match we went back to my place for some beers. The beer came and went and we decided to head over to Aandklas. Because that's where everyone else is. And we needed more beer. On the way I got lost looking for a parking spot. Strange I know. But I haven't been to Aandklas in years. And stuff changed.

We met up with some friends. They told us to get on a bus with them. So we said, why not?

The bus was filled with strange and unholy people.

Luckily I knew most of them, so I wasn't scared. We began to drive. It felt like ages! But finally we arrived at our destination. It was an old theater in the heart of Johannesburg. We got off the bus and stretched our legs.

All around us people were gathering. So we decided to follow the crowds towards a gate. At the gate we met three strange looking women. I think they were witches. But they seemed friendly enough, so I decided to take their picture.

Inside the theater there was a bar. So I decided to get a beer. I said hello to my fellow bar mate. Who just so happened to be non other than the bassist for Cattle Decapitation!

And that's when I knew. We were at a metal show! I went to the stage. Saw some bands. It was glorious! Here are some photos!
