I read this post by @bigtom13 posted under the @adsactly account. It was pretty entertaining, so I thought I'd make a response.

In previous posts I have mentioned the authoritarian personalities that roam the platform. They seem to swarm around steemit like flies swarm around my early morning whiskey craps. This post is another prime example of this. I have to give credit where credit is due though. It was quite amusing to read this specific one. Unlike some of the other shit that people often spew. So I am going to do my best and copy the same style. Because I'm cool like that.

Plagiarism?

Plagiarism is a funny thing. It doesn't really mean anything. You can call what I'm doing now plagiarism. And it's only acceptable because I'm making a response and this gives it some purpose. But purpose is also a very broad term. I can apply it to just about anything.

In terms of academic research, plagiarism refers to stolen ideas. Not stolen content. Academic research consists of using content to form a basis for a new idea. Such as me saying, "through my research on steemit, I have come to the conclusion that authoritarian personalities are drawn here." If this conclusion was already published and I simply used the published paper to form my conclusion, then it is called plagiarism within the institution. In legal terms this would be called FRAUD.

I think that you're not actually talking about plagiarism at all. I think you're talking about COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT. In which case I will argue that steem and other blockchain technology is the perfect place to fight this oppressive set of laws. It is impossible for a government to shut down a blockchain as long as the blockchain runs nodes. If you think that this is not what blockchains are for, then you are mistaken, and I urge you to get involved with the crypto community. Reddit is a good place to start ;-)

Polite Behaviour?

FUCK THAT. If you have something to say, then say it. The cool thing about steem is the fact that your ideas can hold power. A comment can bank you a used car. Or nothing at all and a light rip to your reputation. If I want to call you a nigger faggot. Then I'm going to do it. And I expect to reap the rewards. Whether positive or negative.

If you want to be nice. Be nice. If you want to spew bullshit. Spew bullshit. The only thing I want, is to be ENTERTAINED! I do not care if you are a baby eating nazi or a dolphin killing jap. I still love you.

CONCLUSION.

So as you can see, my argument is for a free steemit. Not a steemit that's a facebook or a twitter. I want my fellow steemians to be who they want to be. I want them to grow. I dont want to shape them with rules and restraints. Be who you are. Be who you want to be. Be free.
