When Will Investors Accept And Embrace Bitcoin?
What would it take exactly for traditional investors to accept Bitcoin? Better yet, what would it take for them to embrace it with open arms, viewing it as a solid investment alternative? We've all seen the headlines.
Mention Bitcoin over on Bogleheads or any other personal finance forum/website and you'll likely to be shunned for even thinking about putting your money into Bitcoin or any cryptocurrency. Granted, you won't see many young, hip investors lurking on these sorts of forums, but it begs the question - what would it take for your average investor to accept and embrace Bitcoin as an investment asset? Exactly what would need to happen?
- Being able to pay for their Big Macs with Bitcoin?
- Seeing Amazon accept Bitcoin?
- Having the SEC accept and approve a Bitcoin ETF?
- Waiting until the price has stabilized, where it no longer encounters 30-40% drops? (what fun is that?)
- Seeing the almighty dollar collapse?
- Seeing Trump wear a Make Bitcoin Great Again hat?
What do you think? Or do you believe we'll be enjoying headlines like these for years to come?
Hopefully when it is too late. Talking about financial institutions ..
