New crypto currency in 2018 with the support of the world's leading banks
The Financial Times came out with the "expected sensational" news - the world's largest banks intend to launch a new crypto currency in 2018.
The joint project of the Swiss bank UBS and the London-based Clearmatics Technologies, which is creating a digital cash system, was joined by such authorities in the banking community as Barclays, Credit Suisse, the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, HSBC, MUFG and State Street. It is assumed that the project will allow financial markets to make instant payments and quickly process transactions using blocking technology.
Back in August 2016, UBS and Clearmatics Technologies created a new crypto currency (USC) - the digital money equivalent of each of the major currencies supported by central banks
As recent practice shows, the crypto currency requires a very serious attitude towards security (in Russia, even the FBI is connected to the organization of work). At the moment, the project participants are also working on additional measures to protect their crypto currency, and discuss plans for its implementation with central banks to conduct a limited launch of the USC in real terms as early as the second half of 2018. The USC's currency will be exchanged for different traditional currencies, depending on the needs of the participants in the transaction.
The history of the beginning of works refers to September 2015, when the Swiss bank UBS for the first time launched this concept of Clearmatics Technologies. Later, BNY Mellon, Deutsche Bank, Santander and brokerage platform ICAP joined the project. Now the new support, already in the face of the grandees of the global banking business. The case takes on a very serious turn.
