Garden work: Spring tidy up

Hello my dear Steemians,

It is slowly getting warmer and we see that the trees and bushes are starting to have buds. That is now the time to make sure that you cut down shrubs so that they are short and tidy and the energy of plants will go to the branches that we would like to grow.

Last time we cut them down in autumn, often we do garden work and gather the cut stuff in backyard, once there is enough of it we then order a skip and let everything in one and then it is picked up.

Time to tidy up your garden

That was this time, despite of still having some fresh weather we decided to order a skip and this is for mixed garbage we have some old carpets, wallpaper, timber from old flooring and of course garden stuff and old stumps of trees.

The skip company was quite quick and it was delivered the next day, we ordered 8 Yard Skip and on the same day started to fill it up. The weather is changing quickly and if the morning was dry it could be wet and rainy in the afternoon.

The corner now is looking better, at least we managed to remove majority of bulky garbage.

In this corner we had old timber stand with old woods under and some stones, now it is empty space and we can store some garden equipment too.

*At the end I would like to share the first signs of spring, snowdrops, it is amazing that they always come around March time like they have inner clock. As always it is nice to see them that only means that winter is coming to end and we have my favourite session Spring :)

Snowdrops are indeed LOVELY!!!! Such dainty little beauties! Yes, you are heading into the warmer weather and we are going in the opposite direction!

I generally love all seasons, but I have to say - this year Summer has been quite brutal... and I am actually looking forward to the reprieve of Autumn and the coziness of Winter! :)

Good luck with the rest of all the clean up etc. and the getting ready for sunshine!!! :D

Happy Wednesday @stef1 :)

Yes, love snowdrops, funny that they are there even if it is cold, usually early March it is the time for them here. I wonder if you also have snowdrops in South Africa and how could it will be there in winter?

My favourite season is Spring, love when plants has sap green colour and flowers blooming everywhere. Summer is also becoming hotter in Europe, probably due to climate change. Last year we were lucky that there were some rainy days unlikely than three years ago.

Our skip was picked up today, at least we have more space now in driveway. Next is to start thinking about the summer flowers and some berries :)

Wishing you nice week too :)

I am pretty sure we have snowdrops around these parts... I will actually ask next time I am at the nursery. Our Winters are bitterly cold - and much colder here in the country than it is over the mountain in Cape Town. We don't get snow, other than on the mountain peaks, but we can see those mountain peaks from here (be they a fair distance) so it is verrrry cold and rainy. I suppose I would say that the distinct aspect of our Winters is probably the storms. We have some REALLY brutal Winter storms!

Spring is indeed a beautiful season and it ALWAYS feels great to come out of hibernation lol! I love Autumn too and am hoping to do quite a bit in my garden in the upcoming weeks because it has cooled down to temperatures that don't turn you into a liquid blob now, haha!

Aaah that is great! It is always a nice feeling to clean up a space - giving it a whole new lease on life! I still have loads of those "spots" around here which we just have not gotten to yet... perhaps in Sprint too, lol!

Thank you, friend!

You have a noble urn... or, if it’s a dustpan, then I’m afraid to imagine what a broom looks like :)
