NBA Fantasy Picks 1/5/2018
We are back with another edition of NBA Fantasy Tonight and there is a Full Slate on tap this evening.
Nikola Jokic C 9700. It is only a matter of time before Jokic goes off for 60. Today he gets a Utah club with no real center since the Gobert has been sidelined. The Nuggets are a 6 point favorite today. They are without one of their primary scorers Will Barton. Its setting up for a vintage Jokic performance this evening.
Donovan Mitchell SG 7500. The Jazz have been losing games really bad lately. What happens if they actually catch a game they don't get blown out of water? Mitchell is playing 38+ minutes a game and has 25+ shot potential. He is the top candidate for rookie of the year this year. On a 10 game slate, expect him to go vastly overlooked this evening.
Kris Dunn PG 7900. Dunn is coming off a very poor performance against the Raptors. Lowry was simply too much for the rookie. I am not letting that shy me away from him though. He has 60 point upside. Today he gets a match up with Dennis Smith, a talented 19 year old. I think Dunn show us the full portfolio tonight.
John Wall PG 9300. This Wizards are road favorites this evening. With now Harrison down to injury for the Grizzles, who is suppose to check John Wall? Wall always shows his ceiling in road games as opposed to home. He has taken 20+ shots in the last 2. The only downside to be found here is expect high ownership tonight.
Tyler Johnson PG 5800. I was shocked to see that Tyler Johnson, even with Dragic back is still playing 36+ minutes a game. He is also taking his season high in shots a game. And even in blowouts he is playing low 30's in minutes. He is for whatever reason priced down this evening. Play with confidence.
Kristaps Porzingis PF 8800. Here is another example of a player that has gone cold as of late. Don't let it fool you, Porgo is taking upwards of 25 shots a game in competitive situations. He is under 9000 for the first time since way back in early November. That is just too cheap for the upside he brings to the table. Sadly, I don't see this price point holding for an extended period of time.

Tyler Johnson is a stat machine, and he's also a great cog in the Miami win-machine. He always flies under the radar due to his draft #, but the guy BALLS! So long as Spoelstra favors him, he's gonna get a lot of minutes, and he might just not give them back if Miami keeps winning with him on the court.
