- West Brom Albion is one point above the relegation zone
- Tony Pulis is the fifth manager to be sacked this season in the Premier League
- West Brom appointed Tony Pulis in January 2015 with the Baggies one point above the relegation zone
- Tony Pulis' three good seasons at West Brom have been undermined by the last four bad months
- West Brom have failed to win in their last 11 matches

Following last Saturday’s humiliating 4 – 0 defeat at home to Chelsea, West Bromwich Albion has announced the termination of Tony Pulis contract.
Tony Pulis, 59, managed just 2 wins in his last 21 games in the Premier League, and Saturday’s loss to Chelsea was the final straw.
West Brom Albion lies in the 17th place and sits a point above the relegation zone following a winless run of 11-games in all competitions.
The assistant head coach Gary Megson, who was a former manager of the side between 2000 – 2004 has been placed in temporary charge of the team until a substantive manager is appointed.
The club duly appreciated Tony Pulis’ effort and hard work over the past 3 years but also pointed out that results haven’t gone as expected for the club over the last couple of weeks, beginning from the latter end of last season.
Ironically, Tony Pulis succeeded Alan Irvine who was also sacked in 2015 when West Brom was a point above the relegation zone. Pulis eventually led them to a 13th place finish, that season.
They finished 14th the following season (2015-16) under Pulis, and placed 10th last season, although they failed to win any of their last nine matches.
