Is Daniel Cormier An All Time Great?

With yet another title defense coming up for DC, not many have referenced his hints at oncoming retirement. At nearly 40 years old Cormier has not only reached the pinnacles of Olympic wrestling, he is also one of the greatest mixed martial artists in the world practicing today.
With losses to only Jon Jones on his record, DC can virtually tackle most any light heavyweight out of title contention, and he was doing just that same thing at heavyweight not too long ago. The power and versatility of this man must be recognized as some of the best we have ever seen in the Octagon and not.
From Olympian to Strike-force champion, Daniel Cormier has always remained a true to heart competitor, and given each opponent the due time and respect to prepare for them. Jones and Gustaffsson pushed Cormier to places he didn't know he could go, and his warrior spirit drove him to rematches...just to prove he is the best.
It will be a sad time for the sport as a whole when DC retires, he was one of the most spectacular athletes we as fans have ever seen. The clinic he put on Dan Henderson is something one can't even replicate in a film, Daniel is almost superhuman in his ability to grind and endure.
The friendliness and charm of DC come hand in hand with his viciousness, he is a kind and gentle soul...but never push him. Fighters like Patrick Cummins found out the hard way to never reveal wrestling mat stories..especially the kind that have bitterness towards DC or his family.
Cormier disposed of Cummins like he did countless others, by the brutality in outworking the next man. Cormier is the epitome of class and character, and is truly the 2nd best light heavyweight of all time. For what it's worth, Cormier can still wipe a division of young lions...fear an old man in a place where men die young.
Daniel Cormier is certainly one of the greats! He has a tough wrestler, even football player type of attitude to fighting, which I think people can relate to. Of course he can strike with the best of them, he is truly a well rounded martial artist. Seems like a really cool and nice guy as well. Handles himself with class almost always. One of the best fighter/announcer combos out there. I like him better than even Cruz! This dude is just great. Even when he retires I hope he continues broadcasting! He is a hall of famer EASY.
Great comment ty!

I really like your posts.
I will follow you and wait for the next bugus post
Thank you for your writing of this sincere article for this guy, whom I also respect for his skill, wich he demonstrates in his work. Sometimes I do not like his behavior outside the octagon, but this does not matter, when he goes to fight with no less great & big guys than he is himself
