steemmonstersdb Now Mobile Friendly!

CSS is Not My Friend

I'm not a designer. Not. Even. Close.

But I do know how to use templates and follow standards so I can clunk through anything...with enough encouragement.

When I released steemmonstersdb, I just got it out without worrying about how responsive the design was. I quickly got feedback asking--no, demanding--a mobile friendly layout. A friend put it best, "I do so much on my phone I sold my laptop so now it's the only way I can get online."

Fair enough, I made amends with CSS and got to work!

Responsive, Mobile, Awesome

I've got the design implemented pretty clean and responsive on your phone. I'm happy with the card details and listing pages.

Before, my menus were not even visible! That's a deal-breaker for sure, so now they're working perfectly on mobile.

The filters were also a mess before and I've got those cleaned up and easy to use with giant thumbs like mine on a mobile device.

Looking Forward

In truth, the main reason I'm getting everything cleaned up and working on mobile is because I have some pretty huge and exciting changes I'm putting together and I want the site to be working great before I roll that out. As always, everything takes longer and requires more effort than expected (or available!) but I'm moving things forward fairly quickly.
