Monster Market
The Monster Market is something of a godsend to those who simply want to sell or buy single cards. No more niggling over price, no bickering over whether it was sent or not, no more wondering how many are available at that value, no more guessing as to whether a card should be worth such and such rather than such and such.

What Is It?
The Monster Market is essentially a token exchange. Plain and simple. Prices vary depending on who lists and who buys. Just like any other crypto exchange. And as such, this exchange has a typical nominal fee attached to each sale. For now, the fee is 2% on all cards sold. In the future that fee may go down for cards of more value.
Anyone can buy and sell in the Monster Market who has a Steem Monsters account. All of the sale options are available and shown right below each card - whether you would like to buy or sell.
To Sell a Card
"Sell" option at bottom of card window
- Click on a card from within your "My Collection" tab to open it.
- The option to sell it will be found at the bottom of the card window. Select the "sell" button and you will be prompted to list the value you would like to sell it for.
- That's it!
You may need to do a little homework on discord or in the marketplace to see what your card is currently going for. But the card still belongs to you and remains in your account until it is purchased, in which case it would be directly transfered to the individual who made the purchase. Just like a "wallet" transfer. Remember, these are tokens we are dealing with.
To Buy a Card
1. Click on the Monster Market in your account meno. Like-characters will be listed in a thumbnail showing the value ranges and the number of available cards in each category.
2. Click on a thumbnail to open the category. You will see a list of cards being sold, from least expensive to most expensive, and their XP levels. Scroll through and select the one you would like. Then click on "buy" to purchase the item.
All you need is your active or owner key for Steem, and you can proceed through steem connect or you can pay through Vessel.
Trading Advice
There are dozens of great monster fans out there making good trading decisions. The most basic advice is to buy low and sell high. But there are strategies to studying the market as well, and if you really want to get into the science and economics of it, you certainly can! Below is a list of some of the best people I have come across who have shared good advice with me or in chatrooms I've been in.
Just to name a few. If you have someone who has helped you, be sure to list them below so we all can know who to turn to when we have questions!
it would be great if there would be an option where you can buy more than 1 single card at the time
It would be. However, you can easily trade groups and packs on the discord trade channel. And @aggroed has mentioned that the code is open source so that other developers can create trade rooms of their own and make it however they like. So I think it is only a matter of weeks before this happens.

Monster market is great... it's a little too easy to buy cards, I have to look out. It's gotten to the point where it's a better deal to buy cards than card packs... unless you're really lucky with gold foil and legendaries. @ironshield

I keep seeing Steem Monsters popping up on my feed and I'm curious but I know I'd get obsessed. LOL
Ha ha. Yes. You will get obsessed. No doubt about it. And frankly, following you, I think you'd love it. It's a good match for your personality. But here's the thing, the cool thing is, the cards are actually tradeable tokens, so it's not just a throw away. They are useful to use in the tournaments that will begin in September, but at the end of the day, the tokens will appreciate in value. So it's a wise investment in my opinion. The obsession is just the fun of it!
