Life Is Too Short For Small Talk
Throwing around the good old "how are ya" has become second nature to most of us.
We say it, yet we don’t mean it.
We resent silence, hence why we’d rather say anything, even if silly AF, just to cover it up.
Just to avoid a full minute of awkwardness, because having nothing to say is really that awkward, wouldn’t you agree?
Well hey sister, it’s not because conventional wisdom holds something that you ought to hold it too.
The truth be told, life is too short for small talk.
We’ve been given one tongue and two ears for a reason.
Make listening your greatest friend, and make sure that when you do talk, it’s because you have something kind or meaningful to say.
It’s all too easy to talk just for the sake of it, but really, it's not necessary and it can backfire too.
Be a person of substance.
I live for people who are authentic, who genuinely care, and listen with an open heart.
I don’t have a second of my time to waste with individuals who use theirs to talk about gossip, judge people they don’t even know or any other stuff that fits in the meaningless category.
Don’t talk to me using superficial tags.
Speak with me through the voice of your soul.
Life is too precious of a thing to lose it on labels, on the flafla, the superficial.
Tell me about what makes every fiber of your being itch, about your most fascinating thoughts. Let me into your inner reality.
While it’s easy to disconnect ourselves from the real world to get back to our devices, why not unplug our earphones for a full minute and look around us to see the beauty that surrounds us? And what we’re missing out on?
I dunno although friendly morning people can be annoying I think it's good to be friendly sometimes.
it's always good to be friendly indeed!!!:P
I think it's usually good to be friendly probably like 90% of the time. lol Some guys can get the wrong impression when a woman is overly friendly.
