2. Ekidna West Long muzzle (Zaglossus bruijnii)

The west long snout ekidna (Zaglossus bruijni) is one of four living ekidna and one of the three species of Zaglossus present in Papua. Fossils of this species are also found in Australia.  This species is listed as an endangered species by the IUCN, the number of species has been reduced because their habitats have been reduced by human activity and hunting.  The west long snout ekidna is also good to eat, and although the hunt for this species has been banned by the Indonesian government and also Papua New Guinea, traditional hunting is still allowed.

Talaud Bear Cuscus (Ailurops melanotis) is a marsupial species of the Phalangeridae family.  The Talaud Bear Cuscus is an endemic animal from the island of Salibabu part of the Talaud Islands Regency. These animals have habitats in subtropical climates or in tropical forests.
