Water - A Poem Contributed By @Gandhibaba
Two cups of exotic juice
And crates of soft drinks
All unable to quench the throat.
The poem above discusses the indispensability of water to humans. The poem opens by first telling us that other invented liquids are not able to quench the thirst of man for water. The second stanza of the poem recognizes water as the fuel of nature. The poet goes the extra mile to explain that water is so influential that even when it kills a child, the child's parents will still need to depend on water to stay alive. In conclusion, water plays a major role in the life of humans - as an African legendary musician, Fela Kuti, once remarked, water no get enemy.
The fuel of nature
You who killed a child
Whose parents neither had the courage
To challenge you
Nor unfriend you.
