Hello @steemitcentral this is my entry.

SOURCE
A RAIN OF BULLETS
It was 11 o'clock at night when Williams had to go to the pharmacy to buy a medicine for his sick mother. Back home, he saw a chase of some criminals who came on motorcycles and were chased by the police but just in front of him, one of the delinquents lost the balance of the bike and rolled on the pavement, being within walking distance of Williams . He saw how the thug took out his gun and started firing at the police that became A RAIN OF BULLETS, everything was so fast that Williams threw himself to the floor to protect himself from the bullets, closed his eyes begging not to run into a stray bullet , a few minutes the bullet rain was over. When he opened his eyes he saw the criminal who was lying dead on the pavement on a bed of blood. The other criminal escaped.

A sign

We were buried in the dirt clutching to our rifles for dear life. The machine gun continued to sing from the distance. I rested my back and listened; my commander wasn't so relaxed.

"We need to engage." I heated him mutter to himself like a child whose mother refused him the chance to play with his mate.

"Sir, they are still shooting." I stated the obvious

"Well, I'm not going to sit here like a coward. " Rufus countered

"Me too... " someone else muttered.

"Look, it's going to rain soon. It's a sign. God's on our side." Chika, ever the religious one, offered.

"Then let's do God proud!" My commander bellowed as he charged out of the foxhole.

It did rain that day. A rain of bullets. I sit by the cemetery gate and wonder if God did send a sign

I'm sorry for submitting so late
