The Masnavi's and Peganum Harmala

Yesterday I wrote about some antient ritual made by the plant Ayahuasca and when I was searching more about the culture behind it. I found out that we got similar applications in our culture but they are not viable anymore. Eventhough it isn't in the sources a lot of people claim that famous Masnavi Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi was using a similar method to get in that complete trance state.

Masnavi Culture and Peganum Harmala

Masnavi is a literature movement from Iran , however there are religious motives behind it. Through the history of time these sofus cleansed themselves from the claw of the materialism and they devoted themselves to god and created some of the best work of eastern Literature. However Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi is most known Masnavi in Turkish culture and he created some decent work too with his Ney. Ney is a flute like device however it sounds divine.

In most of his Masnavi's Mevlana starts by saying that "Listen this from my Ney" and according to some underground sources he was using a simple seed named Peganum Harmala. The function of this plant sounds pretty same as the potion used in Ayauasca rituals.

Peganum Harmala's main function is preventing oxidaze enzym to function and shred the serotonin , therefore the body can be create Dmt (Dimetiltriptamin) and as I explained in my previous article dmt puts him in the complete state of trance. However I couldn't find which one is a stronger experience Ayauascha or Peganum Harmala but my guess is still Ayauasca.

Also there is other herb to balance the situation and it is in the Ney itself therefore they don't get intoxicated same as the Ayauascha ritual. Because of these cultural ritual people say that Sofu's and Masnavis can concentrate more to their innerselves and created those beatiful literatures about religious culture , human and all the other stuff they devoted themselves
